Junior Underwriter - Entry Level Insurance Position

As a Junior Underwriter, you’ll learn foundational underwriting principles and standards while working closely with our experienced underwriting team. This role will provide you with the training, courses, and on-the-job experience necessary to develop your technical skills and build core competencies essential for an underwriting career.

 

This is a remote position, with working hours based on the Eastern Standard Time (EST) to support our clients in the Northeast.

  • Formulate and communicate recommendations based on underwriting principles
  • Work with brokers to gather necessary information for policy renewals and discuss any adjustments to terms and conditions
  • Process endorsement requests from brokers and collaborate with underwriting assistants for policy issuance
  • Participate in ongoing education focused on underwriting fundamentals

 

Qualifications

  • A college degree (preferred)
  • Insurance industry experience (a plus)
