Medical Director for an OFW Clinic

The Medical Director of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) Clinic is responsible for the overall management of clinical operations, ensuring compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations and standards for medical assessments required for OFWs. This role is crucial for safeguarding the health and readiness of Filipino workers prior to their deployment abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all medical activities and ensure that examinations are performed according to established protocols and guidelines.

-Ensure that the clinic adheres to DOH regulations, policies, and guidelines specific to PEME for OFWs.

- Implement and monitor quality control processes to guarantee the accuracy of medical assessments and reports.

- Train, and evaluate medical staff to promote a high standard of care and operational efficiency.

- Coordinate with government agencies and stakeholders to facilitate the processing of medical examinations.

- Establish and regularly update clinic policies and procedures in compliance with DOH standards and best practices.

- Manage the evaluation process, including medical history review, physical examinations, and laboratory tests, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up care as needed.

- Conduct training sessions for staff on current health trends, regulations, and best practices relevant to OFW health assessments.

- Monitor clinical data for compliance reporting and performance analysis to improve service delivery.

Qualifications:

- with PRC License (MD)

- with certificate (BCOM, DPCOM)

Experience:

- At least 5 years of clinical experience, with a focus on occupational health, public health, or a related field.

- Experience in a managerial or leadership position within a healthcare setting, preferably related to PEME or OFW assessments.

Skills:

- Comprehensive understanding of DOH regulations and guidelines regarding PEME for OFWs.

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.

- Proficient in data analysis and quality improvement initiatives.
