Pace Pharmacy is looking for a friendly and experienced individual to join our team as a full-time pharmacy assistant. We are a fun, hard-working, committed team of professionals looking to grow our team.

In addition to our dispensary, we have fully equipped sterile and non-sterile laboratories catering to anyone and everyone who requires compounded medication. We work in a fast-paced environment and face challenges and unique situations that require us to work collaboratively to meet the needs of our patients. We pride ourselves on offering supreme customer service to patients and healthcare professionals alike. We require candidates who are knowledgeable, motivated and highly adaptable.

Pace Pharmacy has two locations in Toronto. This position is for both our Downtown (14 Isabella St.) and our Leaside (40 Laird Dr.) locations in Toronto. We encourage you look up our address to ensure you are able to commute to both locations prior to applying.

The successful candidate should have experience working in a pharmacy. Having knowledge of Kroll dispensary software is a strong asset. In addition to performing regular pharmacy assistant duties and logistics, you will be required to help with general/administrative tasks in the dispensary.

Pharmacy Assistant job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring patients' and customers' needs are met
  • Communicating with patients and customers in person and via phone and email regarding their prescriptions or orders and payments
  • Entering and filling prescription orders in Kroll
  • Operating the Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Handling cash and credit cards and reconciling day-end
  • Scanning and filing hard copies and prescription records
  • Assisting with inventory management and placing and receiving orders
  • Answering phone calls and responding to customer inquiries
  • Abiding by all company policies

Recommended Software Experience:

  • Kroll dispensary software
  • Microsoft Office
  • Gmail

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, sit, and use hands and fingers to manipulate, handle or feel tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, crouch, bend, smell, talk and hear. The employee must lift and move up to 25kg. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
