Remote Staff Accountant | Full-Time Opportunity

Join our dynamic organization dedicated to empowering skilled immigrants as we seek a Full-Time Staff Accountant. In this pivotal role, you will report to the Senior Accountant, ensuring the meticulous maintenance of our general ledger and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). We are looking for individuals with 1-3 years of accounting experience who possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process daily transactions related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Serve as the primary contact for staff and vendors on all A/P-related inquiries.
  • Execute necessary journal entries and adjustments.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, preparing adjustments when required.

 

  • Manage the finance mailbox and review corporate credit card transactions for accuracy.
  • Record daily and weekly cash receipts, and oversee bank deposit processes.
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and contribute to the monthly close process, including post-close reporting.
  • Maintain various department files and ensure compliance with documented policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to the Grants Accountant with grant analysis, billing, compliance, and audit preparation.
  • Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Required Skills
