WhoWhatWhy is seeking to build and improve our marketing team, including the addition of a Website and Analytics Manager.

WhoWhatWhy.org is a nonpartisan, agenda-free news organization. Not left-wing, not right-wing, not consensus-seeking, we report the truth, whatever it is. Responsibilities

Design and implement web traffic strategy
Define and execute website traffic targets
Track the performance of our website and search marketing (SEO) to continuously uncover optimization opportunities.
Plan and prioritize website improvements in collaboration with internal stakeholders, then execute with a combination of hands-on CMS work and coding with external developers.
Implement a pragmatic SEO strategy
Keep strengthening our analytics capabilities
Build and maintain actionable reports and dashboards
Support your peers with a helping hand and a positive attitude

Qualifications

Deep understanding of UX best practices
Strong web and ads copywriting skills
Expertise in the Google marketing stack: Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager,
Proficiency in using WordPress
Excellent analytical and data visualization capabilities
Hands on expertise to execute the plan
Endless curiosity and zeal for getting things do

Expectations

You will be expected to attend your department’s recurring meetings. Beyond this, you will work on your own schedule. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months for at least 10 hours a week. Because our team is spread throughout the world, we rely on a combination of Slack, email, and conference calls, and expect everyone to be responsive in a timely manner.
