About the YouTube Assistant (Content Creator) role:

The YouTube Assistant (Content Creator) will support the YouTube Manager in daily operations of the YouTube channel with special focus on content management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our content on YouTube, ensuring it aligns with channel goals and engages our target audience effectively. In addition to managing daily operations, the role will provide input into our YouTube strategies and assist with the creation and execution of new channel business plans.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and implementation of content strategies that align with the channel’s objectives and target audience preferences
- Assist with planning the content calendar, including scheduling uploads, and ensuring a variety of content types to keep the audience engaged
- Assist in the coordination and execution of video production schedules against content calendars
- Assist with the review/production of video outputs (i.e. scripts, voiceovers, videos, thumbnails) as required
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor analysis, and audience preferences to improve content and business strategies
- Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails to improve discoverability and increase viewership
- Engage with the audience through comments, community posts, and social media to build a loyal fan base and foster a sense of community
- Track and analyze channel performance (i.e. views, watch time, engagement, and subscriber growth) using YouTube Analytics and other tools, i.e. VidIQ, to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and suggest areas for improvement
- Ensure that all content meets YouTube's community guidelines, copyright laws, and any other relevant regulations
- Implement monetization strategies such as ads, sponsorships, and more when applicable
- Assist in managing special projects and initiatives aimed at channel growth and optimization
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling meetings and organizing team workflows

Since the position is part-time, you must work 15-25 hours a week. Depending on your experience, the hourly rate for this is between $1.75 - $2.50 per hour. This is only an introductory rate as this job will eventually become full-time, compensation and promotion to YouTube Manager will be modified in accordance with increased workloads and proven performance.

Qualifications:
- Minimum experience as a YouTube Assistant previously or handled own YouTube channel
- Familiarity with the YouTube platform and its features is a plus but not required
- Knowledgeable on YouTube analytics and SEO approaches
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of adaptability and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to take on any new challenges as needed
