Job Description

Position: Level 3 Assembler

Salary:$20 - $23/hour (depending on experience - potential for growth/promotions once hired)

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies.
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve assembly process issues.
  • Coach and train lower-level assemblers on techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Continuously review and recommend improvements to assembly processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other departments to resolve design or manufacturing issues.
  • Perform final quality inspections and testing to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and materials required for assembly.
  • Assist with the setup, calibration, and operation of automated or semi-automated equipment.
  • Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and provide continuous improvement suggestions.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in assembly or manufacturing roles (3-5 years).
  • Leadership or team supervision experience.
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting complex technical documents.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines without compromising quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on an assembly line.
  • Mechanical assembly of small and large parts.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to use schematics to assemble parts with a low error rate.
  • Experience in production and general assembly line work.
