Description:

Fortune 100 premier financial services organization – Northwestern Mutual – Los Angeles - is seeking a Client Onboarding Specialist working under the investment operations and asset management division of the organization. The Client Onboarding Specialist will be working with a group of advisors to support the onboarding and servicing of new clients. The perfect candidate is self-motivated, possesses high attention to detail, exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication skills. This professional will be responsible for opening accounts, processing distributions, checks, transfers, and deposits; and is a resource to both clients and advisors for any related questions.

Support:

Operational Execution:

  • New Client paperwork preparation
  • Working with clients directly to obtain missing items and/or documents
  • Obtaining client signatures (e-sign & ink sign)

  • Keeping financial advisors informed on pertinent updates on each case in their queue

Managing Workflow:

  • Maintaining organizational skills to adapt and prioritize workflow daily/weekly

Tracking & Monitoring:

  • Maintain clear & up-to-date records of request & case details, as well as an audit trail of operational action

Qualifications:

  • SIE, Series 6 or Series 7, Series 63 of Series 66
  • CA Life & Health preferred
  • High attention to detail is a must
  • Two years of relevant work experience
  • Strategic and proactive mindset, willing to take initiative to drive business operations
  • High ownership of responsibilities and resourceful with problem solving
  • Ability to stay organized, be detail-oriented, and have strong follow-through
  • Excellent communication skills and client service-focused with desire to genuinely help the practice grow.
