About the Role

We are looking for a versatile, proactive, and dependable Customer Service Specialist to join our fast-growing e-commerce business. In this fully remote role, you’ll serve as the front line for our online customers—blending traditional e-commerce support with consultative sales and foundational technical support.

throughWhether you're helping an online buyer track an order, troubleshooting a product setup, or guiding a prospective customer their online purchase, your goal is to deliver an exceptional digital customer experience. Prior experience working in e-commerce or online retail is highly valued and strongly encouraged to apply. Comprehensive training will be provided across all our specific systems, tech, and sales processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat with accuracy and timeliness
  • Provide complete and accurate information using available tools and resources
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times
  • Document customer interactions clearly and thoroughly in internal systems
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
  • Follow up with customers to confirm problem resolution and satisfaction
  • Communicate/work with our distributors and manufacturers to process claims

Key Responsibilities

Omnichannel Customer Support

  • Answer high-volume incoming calls, emails, and chats with a professional, empathetic, and resolution-focused approach.
  • Log all customer interactions accurately and thoroughly within internal systems.
  • Coordinate directly with manufacturers and distributors to process product claims and follow up on customer resolutions.
  • Cross-collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues efficiently.

Consultative Sales & Lead Nurturing

  • Handle inbound lead calls, serving as a knowledgeable product consultant to understand customer needs.
  • Provide accurate quotes, answer detailed product questions, and build rapport with potential buyers.
  • Nurture sales leads and facilitate smooth handoffs to specialized teams when required.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Assist with overflow technical support calls by gathering detailed issue diagnostics.
  • Guide customers through step-by-step troubleshooting to identify and deliver optimal technical solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Proven background in customer support, inbound sales, or technical helpdesk environments.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong phone presence and active listening ability.
  • Problem-Solving: A clear, critical thinker who stays calm, resourceful, and professional under pressure.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable juggling multiple channels (phone, email, chat) and switching gears between customer care, sales, and tech support.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn new software, product specs, and internal CRM systems.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
