Amazon.com is seeking a Finance Manager in the Amazon Music Finance team. In partnership with business, operations, and technology teams throughout Amazon Music, this position will drive strategic initiatives to improve financial reporting and customer experience through automation, process improvements, and defects prevention. Key job responsibilities

Driving planning and budgeting and related deliverables, and ensuring financial discipline and compliance.

Prepare financial metrics, financial reporting, and financial analysis

Understand how business resource plans and goals influence the long-term strategy of Amazon Music and provide insights to support business decisions.

Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish.

Anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; initiate corrective actions; minimize the impact of negative variances.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience

4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

MBA, or CPA

Knowledge of SQL/ETL

Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
