Position Overview:

 

Under the supervision of the Guest Services Director, the Food, Beverage, and Retail Manager is responsible for all Food, Beverage, and Retail activity at Old Town Hot Springs. The FBR Manager will also spearhead hiring, training, and scheduling shifts for Market Attendants, monitoring, and ordering supplies. This important role in our organization will partner closely with the Guest Services Director to strategically grow the market and retail presence, drive increased visibility, customer engagement, and sales performance.

Market Responsibilities:

 

Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train Market Attendants, as well as mentoring and coaching their performance.

Train employees in consistent and high-quality drink and food preparation, with proper use of equipment and sanitization procedures.

Takes the lead in ensuring a safe, secure, and sanitized work environment. Perform and ensure that daily and weekly general cleaning duties are completed.

Schedule attendants to maintain the Market’s full hours of operation. Manage and adjust for missing shifts and demand.

Monitor inventory and order essential product stock with awareness of COGS and budgets.

Drive revenue by working to create new Market items based on health and wellness. Evaluate existing menu to ensure appropriate pricing and value.

Prepare and serve a variety of smoothies, protein shakes and specialty coffee and tea drinks to patrons and correctly customize orders as requested.

Pull weekly reporting to evaluate sales and areas of opportunity, with a keen eye for efficiency.

Ensure Market is properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.

Ensure proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.

Stock supplies and retail products, perform inventory management, and receive products as needed.

Retail Responsibilities:

 

Oversee all aspects of retail including research, ordering, stocking, inventory, and sales.

Establish and nurture relationships with local and national vendors.

Work closely with all department heads to keep retail inventory accurate and relevant.

Monitor all retail areas. Keeping all areas organized, clean, and safe.

Coach Market Attendants and Guest Service Specialists in retail area management.

Troubleshooting POS and club management software.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

 

Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong and effective computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Experience in managing a team of 3-7 entry-level teammates.

Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.

Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.

Must be able to lift 15 -35 pounds.

Must be available to work dayshifts M-F and Weekends as needed.

Education and Experience:

 

3+ years of health and wellness practical experience.

2+ years of management experience. Ability to motivate and guide teammates.

Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience.

Must successfully complete training in food preparation and food service skills.

Customer service and cash handling experience, a must.

Pay and Benefits:
