About the position
As a Front Desk Associate at WeWork, you will serve as the heart and face of our hospitality team, acting as the primary point of contact for our members and guests. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming community environment, where you will greet all who enter our spaces with warmth and friendliness. You will be responsible for ensuring that members and guests feel known and cared for by proactively learning their names, answering their questions, and addressing their needs or concerns. Your work will support the Community Management team in maintaining front desk operations, which includes handling mail and packages, ensuring the building is fully operational, and making necessary adjustments throughout the day. In this position, you will cover the front desk during business hours, providing orientation to first-time visitors and ensuring that all guests are registered in accordance with WeWork's policies. Community Management team as needed. Your role will require you to be knowledgeable about WeWork's products and services, allowing you to promote these offerings effectively to our members and guests. Your responsibilities will extend to member engagement, where you will build relationships with members by learning about their businesses and celebrating their successes. You will keep track of relevant member information in WeWork systems and be able to answer questions knowledgeably. Additionally, you will assist with building operations, including mail handling, monitoring the ambiance of the spaces, and responding to emergencies promptly. This role is essential in illustrating WeWork's core values and working towards achieving our mission of empowering a global community.
Responsibilities
- Greet all members and guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Cover the front desk during the building's set business hours and be an on-site point of contact for members.
- Ensure visiting guests are registered and checked in according to WeWork's guest policies.
- Provide orientation of our spaces and relevant information to ensure all first-time visitors feel welcome.
- Support with issuing and collecting keys from members and guests as needed.
- Keep the front desk clean, organized, and free of clutter at all times.
- Notify members of any food deliveries and packages.
- Learn the names of members and guests and get to know their businesses to build relationships.
- Keep track of relevant member notes and information in WeWork systems.
- Answer questions from members and guests knowledgeably and offer appropriate WeWork products and solutions.
- Identify opportunities to celebrate members' successes and milestones.
- Know and recommend local restaurants, food delivery services, and other relevant options.
- Assist with handling mail and packages throughout the day.
- Monitor the ambiance of our spaces and make adjustments when needed.
- Help maintain building amenities throughout the day, such as restocking supplies.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents promptly and appropriately.
Requirements
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a passion for meeting new people.
- Comfortable and confident being the face of the brand.
- Ability to multitask while prioritizing the member experience.
- Experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and compassion.
- Understanding of WeWork's mission and values.
- A secondary school certificate is preferred but not required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a customer-facing role in hospitality or retail.
