About the position

As a Quality Auditor at Johnson Controls International, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products through comprehensive audits. Your primary responsibility will be to perform quality audits on finished goods, purchased parts, and in-process parts and subassemblies. This involves measuring parts against specifications provided by both suppliers and in-house fabrication. You will assist with Material Test Reports (MTRs) and First Piece Reports (FPRs), providing valuable feedback to the area Quality Engineer (QE). Additionally, you will support operations in the bond room, utilizing process improvement tools and process mapping techniques to enhance quality assurance processes. In this role, you will be expected to read and understand Operational Method Sheets (OMS) and work instructions thoroughly. You will perform partial disassembly of finished goods for inspection purposes, using hand tools to carry out operations such as drilling, screwing, and bolting as necessary. Perform quality audits on finished goods, purchased parts, and in-process parts and subassemblies.

Report abnormal quality conditions and check purchased parts and materials as required.
Complete required tags and inspection reports and maintain an organized work station.
Observe all safety rules.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three to six months' related experience and/or training in a factory environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Understanding of calipers and micrometers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and Operational Method Sheets (OMS).
