This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic public relations initiatives and managing relationships with key talent to enhance brand visibility and engagement.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive PR strategies that align with brand objectives and marketing goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts (print, digital, broadcast, podcasts) to secure positive and impactful coverage.
  • Draft and edit compelling press releases Q&As, speeches, and other PR materials.
  • Identify and proactively pursue opportunities for brand storytelling, thought leadership, and executive profiling.
  • Manage PR agencies and external partners, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging media channels to identify new PR opportunities.
  • Identify, vet, recruit, and manage relationships with a diverse roster of talent, including influencers, brand ambassadors, experts, and spokespeople, ensuring they align with brand values and campaign goals.
  • Develop and execute engaging influencer campaigns from conception to reporting, ensuring content aligns with brand messaging and regulatory guidelines (e.g., FTC, ASA).
  • Provide talent with comprehensive briefings, product knowledge, and communication guidelines.
  • Monitor talent performance, track engagement, and analyze the impact of talent collaborations on brand perception and business objectives.
  • Foster long-term relationships with key talent, nurturing them into loyal brand advocates.
  • Oversee gifting strategies and product seeding programs for talent and media.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, social media, and content teams to ensure integrated campaign messaging across all channels.
  • Contribute to the development of engaging content strategies for PR and talent initiatives.
  • Coordinate photo shoots, video productions, and virtual/in-person events involving media and talent.
  • Assist in developing and implementing crisis communication plans.
  • Monitor potential issues and provide timely and effective responses in collaboration with leadership.
  • Safeguard brand reputation through proactive and reactive communication strategies.
  • Manage PR and talent budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Track expenses and provide regular budget reports.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of progressive experience in public relations, media relations, influencer marketing, or talent management, preferably within the [specify industry, e.g., beauty, fashion, consumer goods] sector.
  • Proven track record of securing high-impact media placements and executing successful talent campaigns.
  • Strong network of media contacts and established relationships with talent agencies/influencers.
