Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced L3 Cloud/System Administrator with a strong background in automation to lead our data center migration project. The ideal candidate will possess extensive

knowledge of cloud infrastructure, system administration, and automation tools, ensuring a seamless transition of our data center operations to a cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Center Migration Planning and Execution:

Automation and Scripting:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline system administration tasks and migration processes.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring activities.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and troubleshooting cloud-based infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role involves advanced cloud engineering, security best practices, automation, and high-level support for AWS environments. The L3 engineer will act as a subject matter expert (SME), mentor L1/L2 teams, and collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to ensure efficient cloud operations.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure components, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Design, implement, and optimize scalable AWS cloud solutions for enterprise applications.
  • Architect highly available and fault-tolerant EC2, RDS, Lambda, EKS, and ECS deployments.
  • Lead cloud migration and hybrid cloud projects, ensuring seamless transition.

System Administration:

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software systems.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the reliability and security of all systems.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with network engineers, developers, and other IT professionals to support cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation (SOPs, architecture diagrams, and playbooks).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, with a focus on cloud environments and automation.
  • Proven experience in data center migrations and cloud infrastructure management.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, including VMware.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Deep expertise in AWS core services, including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, and CloudFormation.
  • Advanced networking knowledge (VPC peering, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN).
  • Experience in AWS security and compliance frameworks (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, WAF, Security Hub).
  • Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
  • Strong knowledge of container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS).
  • Experience with multi-account AWS Organizations setup and cost management.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or VMware Certified Professional are preferred
