American Airlines is seeking flexible, adaptable, and positive individuals to join our Flight Attendant team as a Reserve (On-Call) crew member at our Chicago (ORD) base. 'No experience' is necessary for this entry-level role. Core Responsibilities: This is a critical on-call position. You will be responsible for covering flights at short notice due to scheduling changes or crew needs. You will perform all standard safety and service duties, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for our passengers. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment. Qualifications & Requirements: Must be at least 21, legally authorized to work in the US, and possess a valid passport. A High School Diploma or GED is required. Must live within a 2-3 hour commuting distance of O'Hare International Airport (ORD) to be able to report for duty on short notice. Training & Work Schedule: This position requires maximum flexibility. You will be on-call 24/7 during your reserve blocks, which includes 'day shift', 'night shift', and 'weekend' assignments. You may be called for a 4-day trip or a single-day turn. Successful candidates will attend our 8.5-week paid training in Fort Worth, TX. Compensation & Benefits: This role offers a guaranteed reserve minimum pay, with an estimated annual base from $38,000 to $60,000, plus per diem. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), paid training, and full travel privileges on American and oneworld partners.
