About the Opportunity

An established technical sales firm is seeking a Sales Consultant specializing in HVAC Equipment to support its expanding Indiana territory. This is a strategic role focused on driving sales of engineered HVAC components—including air handling systems, energy recovery units, coils, and noise control solutions—through collaboration with contractors, engineers, and building owners.

You’ll be supported by an expert team and provided with extensive training, product knowledge, and technical resources to position you for long-term success. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for building client relationships and solving technical challenges within the commercial HVAC space.

Key Responsibilities

Sell a targeted portfolio of HVAC equipment: air handling units, energy recovery products, vibration and noise control systems, coils, and more
Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, contractors, and facilities decision-makers
Provide technical consultation and product support to win key projects
Develop territory-specific sales plans and track progress against performance goals
Deliver product presentations and generate detailed sales proposals and submittals
Support contractors and engineering firms throughout the bidding and build process
Stay current on HVAC technology, codes, market competition, and trends
Provide in-field assistance and job site support as needed
Collaborate with engineering support and manufacturer reps to develop competitive solutions

Qualifications

Background in HVAC, mechanical systems, building engineering, or a related technical field
Minimum 2 years of sales, technical sales, or engineering experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is a plus
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and client engagement skills
Ability to interpret technical specs and offer tailored solutions
Self-driven, coachable, and collaborative mindset with strong time management
CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency

Compensation

Base Salary: Estimated $70,000 – $85,000 (based on experience)
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $90,000 – $130,000+
Uncapped commissions + ESOP profit-sharing potential
