Position Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and accomplished Head of Sales to lead our Life Sciences and IT sales division. In this integral position, you will be responsible for managing and driving new business growth across our projects, solutions, and staffing services. The role involves direct oversight of a team of Business Development Managers, whom you will mentor and support in identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities with prominent industry accounts. Your leadership will be essential in strengthening our market presence and ensuring the team consistently meets and exceeds established sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Oversee, mentor, and inspire a team of Business Development Managers to achieve and surpass sales objectives. Deliver strategic direction and ongoing support throughout all stages of the sales process, from lead generation through to contract negotiation.
  • Strategy and Execution: Formulate and execute a robust sales strategy aimed at strengthening RCM's standing within the Life Sciences sector. Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and high-value accounts, collaborating with the team to secure effective market penetration.
  • Performance Management: Establish clear sales targets and rigorously monitor team performance, offering consistent feedback and coaching to drive continuous advancement. Conduct periodic performance evaluations and facilitate professional development initiatives for team members.
  • Business Development: Engage directly in key sales activities, including client presentations, negotiations, and the finalization of contracts for major accounts. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of RCM's service portfolio to articulate value propositions effectively to clients.
  • Market Expertise: Remain informed on prevailing industry trends, competitor dynamics, and innovative product developments within the Life Sciences field. Leverage this insight to shape sales strategies and identify prospective growth opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with the dedicated delivery services team to ensure cohesive collaboration and strong alignment between sales operations and project execution. Gather and communicate valuable client feedback to guide the evolution of future service offerings.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years' sales experience in Life Sciences.
  • 5+ years managing consultative sales teams (projects, solutions, staffing).
  • Extensive knowledge of Life Sciences business processes (Pharma, Biotech, CxO, Medical Device).
  • Proven success building pipelines and meeting ambitious sales goals.
  • Experienced with formal sales methodologies.
  • Skilled at coaching and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building; proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
