General Overview:We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior IT Officer / IT Specialist for our client, a reputable organization in the UAE. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the company's IT infrastructure and network environment.This position requires strong hands-on experience with SonicWall firewalls, VPN configurations, Trend Micro Apex One, Email Gateway, and NAS administration, along with a solid background in IT support and system administration. The role is vital in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of IT operations across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Network & Infrastructure Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot core network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and VPN. Configure and maintain SonicWall firewalls (SSL & Site-to-Site VPN, NAT policies, content filtering). Conduct network performance tuning, firmware upgrades, and proactive device monitoring. Implement and maintain backup, failover, and disaster recovery solutions. Maintain accurate and updated network documentation, including IP schemas and topology diagrams. User Support & Endpoint Security Provide Level 2 and 3 IT support to end users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues. Manage incidents and service requests using an IT ticketing system to ensure timely resolution. Administer and monitor Trend Micro Apex One for endpoint security and compliance. Deploy and manage endpoint protection policies across all devices. Conduct user training on cybersecurity awareness and safe computing practices. Systems & Server Administration Support and maintain Windows Server infrastructure and related services. Oversee NAS storage systems, ensuring data integrity and availability. Manage IT assets, including hardware lifecycle, inventory, and software licensing. Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to deliver IT projects. Participate in and lead IT initiatives assigned by management.
