What You Will Do

This is an amazing opportunity as a Bench Mechanic on the Weekend shift. Friday-Sunday (3x12) Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours.

Under the direction of supervision or working leader you will work from verbal, written or computer-generated instructions to perform pre-coating operations. Operations include surface preparation and masking duties. Perform post coating tasks such as removing parts from fixtures, removing masking, troubleshooting, and diagnosing malfunctioning equipment. You will perform minor repairs on coating equipment where applicable. These repairs include but are not limited to the following:

Perform deburring, blending, polishing countersinking, grinding, drilling or grit blast operations using a variety of hand and power tools and equipment on surfaces and details of aerospace engine components.

Perform Total Preventive Maintenance on applicable machines/equipment as required.

Check parts to meet visual and dimensional requirements using various measuring equipment/tools including micrometers, verniers, height gages and other fixed gages. Assure completed parts meet quality requirements.

Work from oral and written instructions to remove burrs, nicks, and scratches on parts.

Assisting engineers and others in developing new or changed operations.

Making recommendations for changing and improving operating parameters and processes.

Referring any difficulties to leader or supervisor.

You are required to be flexible around shifts, including overtime, for training and to maintain workflow. We look for responsibility to handle multiple significant priorities at a time. You may be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.

Qualifications You Must Have

0-1 years of related experience, or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0-1+years related experience.

High School or GED

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with metal finishing methods, spray coating/paint application, machining, grinding, and/or welding.

Experience with computerized machine operation.

Experience with precision measuring instruments such as feeler gauges, verniers, calipers and micrometers.

Knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions

Understand and follow oral and written instructions concerning work methods and procedures.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Basic computer skills

Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime.

Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

nsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
