Analytics Consultant – Multi-Platform Tracking Setup & Playbook (GA4 + Social)

Other Jobs To Apply

⚠️ PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING: We do not accept applications by phone. All candidates must apply through Upwork.

APPLICANTS WHO CALL OUR BUSINESS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM CONSIDERATION. We appreciate your professionalism and look forward to reviewing your application through the proper channel.

We're looking for an experienced analytics consultant to help us properly set up and understand our tracking across our website and social channels.

We are NOT looking for SEO help — this is purely about analytics, tracking, and reporting.

What we need:

-Google Analytics (GA4) setup/audit — Make sure our GA4 is properly configured, with the right events, goals, and conversions tracked (form fills, contact requests, key page visits, etc.).

- Cross-platform traffic tracking — We post content on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and we want to clearly see:

How much traffic each platform sends to our website

What visitors from each platform actually do once they land (pages viewed, time on site, conversions, drop-off points)

- UTM / tagging strategy — Recommend and help implement a consistent tagging system so we can attribute traffic accurately across all platforms going forward.

- A written playbook — A clear, non-technical document our team can reference that explains:

What's tracked and why

How to read our reports/dashboards

How to interpret what the data is telling us

- Ongoing check-ins — Once setup is complete, we'd like to meet monthly (30–60 min) to review data, answer questions, and adjust tracking as needed.

Ideal candidate:

- Deep hands-on experience with GA4 (setup, events, conversions — not just reporting)

- Experience tracking traffic from YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok specifically

- Comfortable explaining technical concepts in plain language (our team isn't technical)

- Has created analytics playbooks/documentation before — please share a sample if possible

- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager a plus

Deliverables:

- Fully configured GA4 with proper event/conversion tracking

- UTM tagging guide/system for all platforms

- Written playbook (documentation)

- Recurring monthly consulting availability

To apply, please answer:

- What's your experience setting up GA4 for small businesses?

- How would you approach tracking traffic from social platforms that don't always pass clean referral data (e.g., Instagram, TikTok)?

- Can you share an example of an analytics playbook or dashboard you've built for a past client?
