Your day to day

The Buyer (Finance) is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing goods and services required by the organization in a cost-effective, timely, and compliant manner, while ensuring adherence to company policies, budget controls, and financial procedures.

  • Source and purchase goods and services as per approved purchase requisitions and budgets
  • Obtain competitive quotations and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company procurement policies
  • Ensure all purchases are compliant with financial controls, approval matrices, and audit requirements
  • Coordinate with departments to understand purchasing needs and timelines
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier documentation, and contracts
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and quality standards
  • Verify invoices against Purchase Orders and Goods Received Notes (GRN) before payment processing
  • Support month-end closing by ensuring timely submission of procurement-related documents
  • Assist in cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for savings
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company standards, and ethical purchasing practices

What We Need From You

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or finance (hospitality experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, budgeting, and financial controls
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Opera, or similar)
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good analytical and cost-control mindset
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Excel and financial systems
