<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>About the team + role</strong></h2> <p>The Internal Audit function provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely assurance regarding the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal controls that mitigate current and emerging risks and help strengthen the internal controls’ ecosystem.</p> <p>The Internal Audit team, provides governance and oversight for the Company across its regulated entities. The function also facilitates communication of risk management information between the regulated entities’ RHM leadership, and the Company’s Board of Directors and its Committees, strengthening the Company’s risk management, internal controls, and governance.</p> <p>Robinhood Markets (RHM) is the parent company of various lines of business, including Brokerage, Crypto, and Cash services. We are looking for a Senior Associate to join the Technology Internal Audit Team at Robinhood.</p> <p><strong>It is preferred that this role is located in one of the office locations listed on this job description which will align with our in-office working environment. This position is only eligible for remote work in limited geographies within the US where we do not have physical office locations. Please connect with your recruiter for more information regarding our in-office philosophy and expectations.</strong></p> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Support the execution of Robinhood internal audit plan</li> <li>Prepare audit reports to document audit scope, procedures, findings and recommendations, including interpreting the significance of audit findings, concluding on findings and making practical recommendations for remediation</li> <li>Review and evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls for key security and technology areas</li> <li>Plan, execute, and report-out on various types of security and technology audits, including post-remediation validation</li> <li>Build collaborative and trusting relationships with business partners and cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Data, Operations, Security and Engineering</li> <li>Should be comfortable with Python and GitHub to perform technology audits and communicate finding and recommendations to Security and Engineering teams</li> <li>Identify possibilities for automation in business / IT processes as well as develop repeatable/automated audit procedures to find simple solutions for complex problems</li> <li>Proactively interacting with business and engineering teams to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements (via automation)</li> <li>Advocate and implement for continuous improvement in our internal controls</li> <li>Connect with and educate process owners effectively, including engineering and security individuals, on the importance of controls, an effective control environment, and the role of Internal Auditor</li> <li>Facilitating internal and external communications, including interacting with regulators</li> </ul> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>What you bring</strong></h2> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, data science, analytics, statistics or other relevant fields of study</li> <li>7+ years of technology audit experience in internal audit and/or public accounting firm</li> <li>Ability to partner with operations, finance, engineering, data and product teams to strengthen controls environment using automated techniques</li> <li>Familiarity with source code management systems and continuous integration processes (preferably GitHub / Jenkins / Phabricator)</li> <li>Familiarity with Terraform / Saltstack or similar “Infrastructure as code” technologies</li> <li>Experience in end-to-end project management and independently operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects/initiatives</li> <li>Ability to deal with ambiguity in an experienced manner and creatively break down complex scenarios into manageable chunks</li> <li>Problem solving skills that demonstrate critical thinking and “outside-the-box” approach to reach a solution</li> <li>Proficiency in regulatory requirements and standards such as GLBA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA, ISO2700x, and NIST.</li> </ul> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bonus Points</h2> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field of study</li> <li>Experience in leveraging data analytics to execute audit procedures using data analysis tools and techniques.
