The Role


UK Trade & Investment Team Co-ordinator is a full-time position that requires coordinating various tasks within the team.

The successful candidate will work closely with UKTI colleagues in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, managing OMIS, delivering marketing requirements, operational management of the UAE scorecard, and leading special projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, be able to foster team-working, understand customer needs, deliver results under tight deadlines, and have high levels of initiative.

Mandatory qualifications include at least 3 years' experience in an organisational role, fluency in English, and strong IT computer skills using Microsoft Office.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Management of UKTI's Overseas Market Introduction Service (OMIS).
  • Delivery of UAE specific UKTI marketing requirements.
  • Operational management of the UAE scorecard.
  • Lead on special projects as required.
  • Allocate OMIS orders to the team, liaising with sector leads as appropriate.
  • Quality control all reports, both at contract stage and final submission.
  • Monitor team work load, reassigning OMIS work as necessary.
  • Reconcile our OMIS statistics with those from headquarters – issuing sector breakdown and running balance against targets statistics on a monthly basis to the team.
  • Monitor OMIS strategy, ensuring that revisions to policy are communicated to the team. Look for opportunities to share best practice both in the UAE and the wider region.
  • Co-ordinate the supply of all UAE marketing collateral, providing relevant material to sector teams on request.
  • Lead on the development of additional coordination activities as required.
