Situated on Al Reem Island, our school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework alongside elements of the British curriculum, providing students with a well-rounded and globally focused education.<br><br>We are inviting applications from experienced and dedicated HR Coordinator's to join our exceptional team from <strong>January 2026.<br><br></strong>The HR Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting staff and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of HR processes in line with the GEMS WAA's vision for excellence, inclusivity, and future-focused education. This role involves overseeing day-to-day HR administration, coordinating recruitment and onboarding, and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with GEMS Education standards and UAE labour regulations.<br><br>With access to advanced HR systems, professional development pathways, and the collaborative support of the wider GEMS network, the HR Coordinator will work closely with the HR Manager, school leadership, and central support teams to deliver a high-quality HR service. The role also requires liaising with staff, government relations, and external providers to facilitate visa processing, insurance, and other employee services.<br><br>Additionally, the HR Coordinator will play an important part in staff engagement by supporting induction, handling staff queries with professionalism and discretion, and ensuring that HR practices reflect the values of care, respect, and innovation that define the WAA community.<br><br><strong>Skills<br><br></strong><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Support the HR Manager in the smooth delivery of HR services, ensuring all processes comply with GEMS Education policies and UAE legislation.</li><li>Coordinate recruitment processes, prepare documentation, and manage the onboarding of new staff, including visa and insurance requirements.</li><li>Maintain employee records and HR systems (D365 and Phoenix), ensuring information is accurate, secure, and up to date.</li><li>Administer benefits such as medical insurance and liaise with external providers to resolve staff queries.</li><li>Prepare official letters and documentation such as NOCs, salary certificates, and transfer letters.</li><li>Monitor and record staff leave accurately for payroll processing.</li><li>Collaborate with leadership, Student Services, administrative teams, and other GEMS schools as required.</li><li>Support induction and engagement initiatives to foster a positive staff experience.</li><li>Handle sensitive information with the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills And Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Prior experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role in the UAE is preferred.</li><li>Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (experience with D365 and Phoenix is an advantage).</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.</li><li>A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.<br><br></li></ul><strong>GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its students and staff.
