Rad AI is looking for an experienced contract Technical Writer to publish, manage, and maintain customer-facing documentation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of simplifying complex topics, producing high-quality user guides, and thriving independently in fast-paced, distributed team environments. This fully remote contract is expected to be for an initial period of 3 months, with potential for extension based on performance and business requirements. What You’ll Do • Tackle a prioritized backlog of documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and usability • Write, revise, publish, and maintain customer-facing documentation, including user guides and other Help Center articles • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, plain-language instructions tailored for both non-technical and technical audiences • Conduct research and use Rad AI’s products to test and validate documented information to ensure quality and accuracy • Improve Rad AI’s products by providing feedback, raising issues, and updating documentation accordingly • Independently collaborate with remote product, engineering, design, support, and implementation teams to clarify requirements, gather and verify information, resolve open discussions, and drive documentation towards fast completion. • Use, organize, and improve content management systems (primarily Zendesk) • Follow and contribute to established style guides, glossaries, and templates Who We’re Looking For • 5+ years in a technical writing role, ideally for SaaS or complex software products • Experience using AI tools to conduct research, gain context, and make the writing process more efficient—with a proven ability to verify and correct AI-generated content. • Demonstrated portfolio of published customer-facing technical documentation (user guides, etc.) • Experience simplifying technical subjects and presenting them in clear, accessible language • Experience capturing, annotating, and updating screenshots that support written content • Familiarity with content management or publication tools such as Zendesk, Notion, or similar • Proven track record of effective task prioritization and working to tight deadlines • Strong ability to provide and accept constructive feedback to improve documentation • Ability to work autonomously and productively in fast-paced, distributed teams • Strong written and verbal communication skills It’s great if you also have • Experience working on healthcare or radiology software • Experience creating and maintaining AI-powered workflows and agents to improve internal processes • Prior success delivering documentation projects in a contract or freelance capacity • Experience maintaining and developing internal content infrastructure such as glossaries, style guides, and reference materials. • Experience producing videos to illustrate and support user-facing documentation • Knowledge of Glean, Notion, Google Docs, Linear, GitHub, in addition to Zendesk Join our world-class team as we build and deploy AI solutions that empower physicians and transform patient care—making a meaningful impact on millions of lives.
