Be a part of something BIG! This role is based in Malaysia and responsible for commercial contract reviewing, drafting, and negotiate contracts with domestic and global suppliers and partners, as well as providing remote legal support to IT, Networks and Property team of Singapore Telecommunications Limited based in Singapore. The candidate will act as a strategic legal partner to these business units resolving their legal needs.

He/she should demonstrate a strong willingness to engage in developing strategies and also take the lead in resolving legal and commercial challenges.

Make An Impact By

  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on all aspects of procurement, partnership, and other contracts with suppliers and partners for Singtel’s business units.
  • Pro-actively advise on legal, commercial and operational risk issues holistically as part of providing legal advice on the contracts.
  • Work closely with the various business lines, and relevant stakeholders to provide pragmatic, robust legal solutions consistent with the Singtel Group’s policies.
  • Ensure documentation is systematically maintained with adequate processes and policies in place, and that organizational memory is retained, within the corporate business group.
  • Collaborate, report to and work under the supervision of the Legal team at Singtel, Singapore.
Skills For Success
  • Degree in Law and admitted to practice in Malaysia / Singapore or the UK
  • Minimum of 12 to 15 years’ PQE, gained either as an in‑house lawyer or with a reputable commercial law firm.
  • Strong legal analytical skills with a good eye for detail and sound knowledge of general corporate and contract law.
  • Excellent contract drafting skills.
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, and to meet critical deadlines.
  • Able to work well both independently as a legal professional and custodian of the company’s policies and as well as working collaboratively as part of a team.
